2007 Audi A4 2.0L Diesel · J66 FFK

The 2007 Audi A4 presents a broadly stable roadworthiness picture based on its most recent test. In the May 2024 examination at 136,319 miles the vehicle passed with no defects recorded, following a same-day failure that listed no faults, a pattern repeated in April 2023 when a failure at 130,163 miles preceded a pass at 130,170 miles the next day. The maintenance trend shows no worsening mechanical condition across the available record, though the repeated pass-fail-pass sequences on consecutive days suggest administrative or presentation issues at the testing station rather than latent vehicle faults. Mileage accumulation sits at a typical level for a nineteen-year-old car. The record shows 127,011 miles in May 2022, rising to 130,170 miles by April 2023 and 136,319 miles by May 2024, an average of roughly 4,650 miles per year across that window against a lifetime mean near 7,175. The three-year span from 2022 to 2024 carries clean test outcomes with no advisories on tyres, brakes, suspension bushes, or corrosion, indicating the previous keeper kept the car to a basic pass standard without flagged wear items. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age and aluminium-steel mixed construction. The DVSA data shows no recorded advisories on coil springs, brake discs, or exhaust emissions, but the absence of notes across low annual mileage means standing periods may have masked perished rubber components or binding calipers not caught in the test bay. Verify the reason for the same-day failures in 2023 and 2024 with the issuing test centre, as no defects were logged yet the system recorded a reject. Confirm service history against the 136,319-mile odometer and check for intermittent electrical or emissions faults that a clean MOT will not reveal.
