2015 Vauxhall Corsa Sting 1.2L Petrol · JRZ 7016

A consistent record of clean passes defines this vehicle's recent MOT history, showing a pattern of roadworthiness that has remained stable through its most recent test on 19 March 2026. While there was a single failure recorded on 27 January 2025, the absence of any recorded defects or advisories in the subsequent two tests indicates that the mechanical components inspected by the DVSA have met the required standards without recurring issues. This lack of documented advisories regarding structural integrity, such as corrosion on the subframe or exhaust system, or wear on consumables like brake pads and tyres, suggests that the components subject to MOT scrutiny have not shown progressive deterioration in the recorded periods. The vehicle has covered 69,052 miles over its eleven-year lifespan, which equates to an average annual accumulation of approximately 6,277 miles. This usage profile is consistent with lower-than-average annual mileage for a 2015 registration, suggesting the car has not been subjected to heavy long-distance motorway use. Mechanically, this level of usage typically results in less frequent wear on drivetrain components and suspension linkages compared to higher-mileage vehicles, though it can sometimes mean components have been subjected to more frequent short-trip cycles. There are no significant gaps in the testing history that would suggest long periods of being off the road, as the tests have been conducted with relative regularity since 2019. Because the MOT records show no specific advisories for suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake pipes, there are no documented mechanical faults to target during a physical inspection. However, given the relatively low annual mileage, a prospective buyer should still pay close attention to the condition of rubber components and seals which can perish from age rather than distance. During a test drive, listen for any dull knocks or clunks when traversing uneven surfaces, which could indicate wear in the suspension mounts or bushes, and check for any pulling to one side which might suggest uneven tyre wear or steering geometry issues. The absence of recorded oil misting or fluid leaks in the MOT history means there are no specific areas of concern regarding the engine or gearbox seals based on official data. On a test drive, it is advisable to monitor the brake pedal feel for any sponginess or pulsation, which would indicate issues with the hydraulic system or disc condition, even though these have not been flagged in recent tests. Additionally, observe the exhaust emissions and listen for any unusual engine note or vibrations at idle to ensure the combustion and exhaust systems remain as clear as the recent passing certificates suggest.
