2022 Ford Focus Trend 1.0L Petrol · PX72 BYB

The vehicle presents a clean roadworthiness profile based on the most recent inspection. The test conducted on 14 August 2025 at 53,877 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the vehicle met all DVSA safety and environmental standards at the time of its last annual check. The recorded mileage of 53,877 miles over four years represents an average annual usage of approximately 13,469 miles. This figure sits above the UK national average for a passenger car, suggesting regular motorway use which typically results in consistent wear on mechanical components. While the MOT history is sparse due to the relatively young age of the vehicle, the mileage indicates the car has been used actively rather than suffering from long periods of inactivity. Given the higher mileage relative to the age, a buyer should focus their physical inspection on components prone to wear in high-mileage cycles. Examine the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers for signs of premature perishing, as these degrade with frequent use. The braking system should be checked for uneven pad wear or thin discs, as the high mileage puts significant strain on the friction materials. A visual check of the underbody for early-stage corrosion or corrosion is also prudent to ensure the structural integrity remains sound as the vehicle continues its age.
