1998 Subaru Impreza 2.0L Petrol · R125 PDL

The most recent MOT was passed in August 2024 with no defects recorded. However, as of June 2026, this MOT has expired, meaning the vehicle's current roadworthiness and legal status are unverified. The mechanical pattern shown in the history is remarkably clean, with no recorded defects or issues across all entries since 2019. The trend in the vehicle's documented condition appears stable, as there is no evidence of increasing failures or worsening safety concerns in the provided records. The mileage context presents a specific signal. While the total mileage is roughly typical for a 28-year-old vehicle, the recent recorded progress is extremely low. The car has covered only 1,189 miles in the five years between March 2019 and August 2024. This indicates the vehicle has likely spent long periods standing rather than being driven regularly. While low mileage can imply less wear on the drivetrain and suspension, long-term inactivity can lead to issues such as perished seals, degraded fluids, or rubber components that may not have been captured in previous tests. A buyer should first inspect the vehicle for signs of deterioration caused by sitting, specifically looking for fluid leaks, the condition of rubber hoses and belts, and any signs of tyre flat-spotting or cracking.
