1998 Honda F6C 1.5L Petrol · R192 BBK

The 1998 Honda F6C presents a stable roadworthiness status with no recorded defects across its recent testing cycle. The most recent test on 23 March 2026 at 30,434 miles returned a clean pass, continuing an unbroken sequence of satisfactory results. The maintenance trend shows no deterioration and the vehicle has cleared every examination without advisories on brakes, suspension, exhaust emissions, or structural integrity. Recorded mileage sits at 30,434 miles against 28 years of age, an average of roughly 1,087 miles per year. The DVSA entries show light and consistent use: 28,223 miles in July 2021, 28,590 by September 2022, then 28,939 in March 2024, 29,513 in March 2025, and 30,434 in March 2026. A gap exists between the 2021 and 2022 tests spanning roughly fourteen months, yet only 367 miles accrued in that period. The clean record offers no evidence of neglected consumables or deferred mechanical repair. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection given the machine's age and low annual mileage. Long standing periods promote corrosion on frame members, exhaust hangers, and brake caliper seizing even when test sheets stay clear. The tester noted no advisory on tyres, wheel bearings, or steering geometry, but rubber bushes and fork seals on a 1998 machine degrade with time rather than distance. Verify the true odometer calibration and confirm no undocumented running during the 2021 to 2022 lapse. Inspect coil springs, disc rotors, and suspension linkage for age-related fatigue. The MOT history implies a carefully stored, lightly ridden example, though paper cleanliness does not certify freedom from hidden structural rust or perished components.
