2002 Toyota Altessa 2.0L Petrol · S440 GUF

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness, with all five consecutive MOT tests from 2021 to 2025 recording no defects. The most recent 2025 test at 113,311 miles confirmed compliance, indicating consistent maintenance and no emerging mechanical issues. The absence of advisories or failures across this period suggests the car has been well-kept, though its age and low mileage raise questions about long-term component integrity. The mileage growth between tests is minimal, with annual increments ranging from 177 to 2,262 miles. Notably, the 2021 to 2022 test interval saw just 177 miles added, implying prolonged inactivity or infrequent use. This pattern could accelerate wear on static components such as suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake calipers, which may degrade without regular operation. The lack of significant mileage spikes also means wear on consumables like tyres or brake discs remains untested under sustained use. A buyer should inspect for signs of corrosion, particularly in the exhaust system and underbody, given the low usage history. Suspension components, including shock absorbers and track rods, warrant scrutiny for stiffness or dryness. While no mechanical faults were recorded, the vehicle’s age necessitates a thorough check of structural integrity, especially around the chassis and body mounts. The MOT record confirms compliance but does not replace a physical inspection for hidden issues linked to extended inactivity.
