2003 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Petrol · SB53 AAY

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2025-12-01 at 64,109 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating a stable maintenance trend. However, the same date shows a fail with no defects, suggesting potential data inconsistency or administrative error. Previous tests in 2024-12-04 (62,105 miles) and 2024-01-19 (60,011 miles) both passed with no issues, implying consistent compliance. The absence of recorded defects across multiple tests suggests the car has met basic roadworthiness standards, though the lack of detailed findings limits insight into component condition. The vehicle’s mileage of 64,109 miles over 23 years equates to approximately 2,787 miles annually, significantly below average for its age. This low usage may indicate infrequent operation or prolonged storage, increasing risks of rubber component degradation, corrosion, and fluid stagnation. Notably, the 2024-01-19 test at 60,011 miles was followed by a fail at the same mileage just two months later, raising questions about potential unresolved issues or repeated testing without corrective action. The sparse defect data limits assessment of wear trends in critical systems. A buyer should prioritise inspecting the underbody for corrosion, particularly in areas prone to moisture ingress, and test suspension components for wear, as low mileage does not guarantee component integrity. Brake systems, including discs and calipers, warrant scrutiny despite no recorded defects, as prolonged inactivity can mask binding or uneven wear. The exhaust system and structural integrity should also be checked, as age and storage conditions may compromise these elements. The MOT history provides limited diagnostic detail, necessitating a thorough pre-purchase inspection to confirm mechanical soundness.
