2004 Ford Fiesta 1.2L Petrol · ST04 AGX

The vehicle's MOT history shows a pattern of intermittent failures followed by successful retests, though the most recent record from February 2024 indicates a passed test with no defects. Between February 2022 and February 2024, the vehicle failed two separate tests, specifically on 17 February 2023 and 17 February 2024. While the most recent result suggests the issues identified during those failures were addressed, the recurring nature of the failures indicates that the vehicle requires periodic intervention to meet minimum standards. The recorded mileage of 53,371 miles is low for a 2004 model, averaging approximately 2,426 miles per year. This low annual usage suggests the vehicle has spent significant periods stationary or has been used very sparingly. The MOT records do not provide specific mileage increments for each individual test year to confirm exact annual travel, but the cumulative total remains low relative to the vehicle's age. Because the MOT records provided do not specify the exact nature of the failures in 2023 and 2024, a physical inspection is necessary to identify the specific components that caused these setbacks. A buyer should focus on inspecting the braking system for binding calipers or worn discs, as well as checking the suspension bushes and coil springs for degradation. Given the low mileage and potential for long periods of inactivity, checking for seized components, perished rubber seals, and any signs of corrosion on the underside or exhaust system is essential. buying_score: 62 risk_level: Medium.
