2011 Toyota Avensis 2.0L Petrol · SV61 AJX

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness based on a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test conducted in February 2026 at 113,864 miles resulted in no defects, maintaining a stable trend of compliance over the last five years. This clean record suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard that avoids the mechanical or structural failures typically seen in older Japanese. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent for a fifteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,600 miles per annum. There was a notable increase in usage during the 12nd-month period between February 2023 and February 2024, where the mileage climbed from 81,891 to 97,617, but usage has since returned to a more moderate rate of roughly 6,000 miles per year. This regular interval indicates the car is used consistently, which often helps prevent internal component corrosion and seal degradation associated with long periods of standing. Because the MOT history shows no recurring advisories for suspension bushes, brakes, or corrosion, a physical inspection should focus on age-related degradation rather than neglected faults. A buyer should specifically check the rubber components in the suspension and engine mounts for cracking, as these can perish over time regardless of mileage. Given the vehicle's age, verifying the condition of the brake discs for pitting is also advisable, though the official record does not flag any binding calipers or thinning material.
