2003 Toyota Yaris T3 1.3L Petrol · TCZ 6880

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, though the record indicates a significant lapse in recent testing. The most recent MOT conducted on 22 May 2022 at 205,412 miles resulted in a pass with no defects following a failure just three weeks prior. Given that the current date is 19 June 2026, the vehicle is over four years overdue for its annual inspection. This gap creates a high risk regarding the current mechanical state and safety of components that have aged since the last recorded assessment. The mileage pattern is consistent with a 23-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,900 miles per year. Data shows a notable accumulation of 38,912 miles between January 2020 (166,500 miles) and May 2022 (205,412 miles), suggesting high-intensity use during that two-year period compared to the preceding years. The lack of recorded mileage between November 2018 and January 2020 tests suggests a period of low usage which can lead to the degradation of rubber seals and fluid chemistry. A buyer must prioritise a physical inspection of the chassis and suspension components due to the vehicle's age and high mileage. While the MOT history does not list recurring mechanical failures, the failures in 2018 and 2022 suggest the vehicle is prone to items requiring attention immediately before testing. Particular attention should be paid to structural corrosion on the sills and wheel arches, the condition of the suspension bushes, and the integrity of brake lines. The four-year gap in the MOT record means any developing structural rot or fluid leaks would have gone undetected by a tester.
