2008 AUDI A52.0L PETROL

This 2008 Audi A5 has a very unusual MOT record. The most recent test, from September 2020, was a clean pass with no defects. However, the recorded mileage at that test is exactly the same as the current reading: 107,061 miles. That means this car has not been driven any significant distance in nearly six years. It may have stood idle since autumn 2020. The earlier MOT history shows a clear pattern of neglected consumables. In 2014 the car failed with front brake pads less than 1.5mm thick, a cut in a tyre deep enough to reach the cords, and an undertray fitted that blocked inspection. In 2015 it failed again with a tyres worn to or below the legal limit and rear brake pads wearing thin. These are maintenance failures, not mechanical failings, and they were corrected for the passes that followed. The trend up to 2020 looked improving, as the final test was entirely defect-free.
