2000 Nissan Micra 1.0L Petrol · X718 DGW

The 2000 Nissan Micra is currently roadworthy, the most recent MOT on 15 November 2022 recorded a pass at 58,815 miles with no defects noted, indicating a stable maintenance trend over the two available tests. The earlier pass on 3 November 2021 at 56,354 miles also showed no issues, confirming that the vehicle has not accumulated any recurring faults in the recorded history. Mileage accumulation is modest, rising just 2,461 miles over a twelve‑month interval, which equates to roughly 2,262 miles per year for a car that is now about 26 years old. This low annual mileage suggests lighter use or extended periods of storage, reducing typical wear on consumables and drivetrain components. The MOT record is sparse, containing only these two entries, so any long‑term degradation outside the test dates cannot be inferred from the data. A buyer should inspect the suspension bushes, coil springs and shock absorbers for corrosion or wear, as static storage can lead to bushing hardening. Brake discs and calipers should be examined for uneven glazing or binding, even though the tests passed, because low‑mileage vehicles can develop corrosion‑related grip issues. The exhaust system and under‑body panels merit close scrutiny for rust, particularly given the car’s age, and the tyre tread depth should be checked for uneven wear patterns that may have been missed between MOTs. A thorough visual check of the battery terminals and coolant condition is also advisable to ensure the vehicle’s ancillary systems remain reliable.
