2001 Honda CBR900RR 0.9L Petrol · Y618 AJF

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status, evidenced by five consecutive years of clean passes. The most recent test in May 2026 at 22,387 miles resulted in no defects, continuing a trend of consistent maintenance since 2022. This consistency suggests that the current owner is proactive regarding basic compliance and that the motorcycle has not suffered from significant mechanical or structural failures in recent years. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a twenty-five-year-old machine, averaging approximately 900 miles per year. There is a notable gap in records between August 2019 and April 2022, where the vehicle covered only 1,945 miles over three years. Since 2022, the usage has increased more steadily, adding 3,061 miles over the last four tests. While the low mileage reduces mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine, it also increases the risk of age-related degradation in rubber-based components that perish from lack of use. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components susceptible to long-term storage rather than mileage. The history shows recurring issues with rear brake pads reaching the legal limit in 2014 and 2019, indicating that while consumables are replaced when necessary, they are not replaced preempt. Given the low mileage and age, a thorough check of the fork seals for weeping, tyres for sidew cracking, and brake lines for perished is essential. Additionally, verify the structural integrity of the frame and suspension pivot points, as low-use vehicles often hide surface corrosion or dry stress fractures that high-mileage examples might reveal through regular cleaning.
