1958 Chevrolet Corvette 5.2L Petrol · 575 XVH

The 1958 Chevrolet Corvette presents a stable roadworthiness trend. The most recent test on 15 March 2023 at 49,051 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded. This follows an earlier clean pass on 11 October 2021 at 48,990 miles. The vehicle shows no worsening faults across the two available entries. Recorded mileage sits at 49,051 against an approximate 68-year lifespan, equating to roughly 721 miles per year. Between the October 2021 and March 2023 tests the odometer advanced only 61 miles. Such low annual use over a long period suggests extended standing rather than regular road use. The MOT history is sparse, with just two clean entries and no advisories logged. A buyer should still inspect the car in person for age-related corrosion on structural members and chassis rails, as the MOT record does not capture hidden rust on a vehicle of this vintage. Standing time invites perished rubber suspension bushes, seized brake calipers, and flat-spotted tyres. The absence of advisories does not waive the need for a physical check of exhaust integrity and brake disc condition. Given the two fault-free tests, previous keepers appear to have stored the Corvette with basic care rather than driven it hard. Verify the declared mileage with heritage paperwork, and commission a specialist underside inspection before purchase.
