2020 Porsche 911 3.0L Petrol · 69 RG

The most recent DVSA MOT test for this 2020 Porsche 911 was conducted on 25 April 2026 and resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. Reviewing the broader test history, the vehicle has now completed four consecutive passes at successive annual tests, each clean of advisories, minor defects, or failures. This unbroken run of defect-free outcomes is a strong indicator of consistent mechanical upkeep, and the overall maintenance trend is best characterised as stable and reassuringly positive for a prospective purchaser. With only 8,781 miles recorded over approximately six years of service, the vehicle has covered an average of around 1,464 miles per year, which is exceptionally low even for a high-performance sports car and well below typical usage expectations. Such light annual mileage strongly suggests prolonged periods of standing, particularly if the car has been stored in a garage or used only seasonally. While low mileage reduces wear on major drivetrain components such as the engine, transmission, and clutch, it introduces its own set of age-related concerns that warrant close inspection prior to purchase. For a performance car of this age and limited use, particular attention should be paid to the condition of the tyres, including sidewall perishing, cracking, and loss of elasticity, as rubber compounds degrade with calendar age regardless of remaining tread depth. Brake discs and calipers are prone to corrosion and seizing when left standing for extended intervals; during the test drive, listen for scraping or grinding on first application and feel for any pulling or uneven retardation. The 12-volt battery should be load-tested, as prolonged inactivity combined with the demands of modern electronic control units frequently leads to premature battery failure in low-use vehicles. Additionally, all fluid-based service items, including engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, and transmission fluid, degrade over time through moisture absorption and chemical breakdown, so verifying the service book stamps and the date, rather than just the mileage, of the last fluid change is essential. Finally, given the flat-six rear-engine layout and the performance specification of the 911, a thorough pre-purchase inspection by a marque specialist is strongly advisable. Check for any oil seepage from the rear main seal, sump, and intermediate shaft housing, as well as coolant leaks from the coolant pipes and radiators, which are common age-related issues. Inspect the suspension bushes, anti-roll bar links, and coil springs for any deterioration, and examine the underside and wheel arches for corrosion, particularly around the suspension mounting points. Confirm that the vehicle’s diagnostic system is free of stored fault codes, as intermittent electrical issues can develop during long periods of inactivity. With its clean MOT record and low mileage providing a sound foundation, a diligent physical and mechanical inspection should give a confident buyer the assurance needed to proceed.
