2006 Porsche Boxster 3.4L Petrol · A12 TAM

A consistent record of clean MOT results over the last eight years defines this vehicle's documented roadworthiness, with the most recent test on 30 April 2026 returning no defects. This trend of passing consecutive inspections without recorded failures or advisories from 2018 through to 2026 indicates a history of meeting minimum regulatory standards for structural integrity, braking efficiency, and emissions without the presence of flagged component wear. The recorded mileage of 88,115 miles against a 2006 registration suggests a relatively low annual usage pattern of approximately 4,406 miles per year. While this lower accumulation rate typically implies less wear on high-friction components such as brake discs, pads, and tyres, it also necessitates scrutiny regarding the effects of infrequent use. For a vehicle of this age, low mileage can sometimes coincide with longer periods of inactivity, which may impact rubber components like suspension bushes, drive belts, and various seals that can perish or harden when not regularly cycled through their full range of motion. Given the absence of specific advisories regarding corrosion or fluid leaks in the DVSA history, a physical inspection should focus on verifying the condition of the chassis and underside. On a test drive, pay close attention to the steering and suspension response; listen for any dull knocks or clunks when traversing uneven surfaces, which could indicate perished rubber bushings or worn dampers that have not been highlighted in previous tests. Additionally, monitor the engine bay and undercarriage for any signs of oil misting or weeping from gaskets, as low-usage vehicles can sometimes develop seal issues due to oil thickening or lack of thermal cycling. Brake performance should also be evaluated through tactile feedback. While the MOT records show no issues with braking systems, you should check for any pedal judder under heavy braking, which might indicate warped discs, or any pulling to one side that could suggest a binding caliper. Because the mileage is low, ensure that all consumables, particularly tyres, are checked for age-related cracking or flat-spotting, as the visual condition of the tread alone does not account for the degradation of the rubber compound over a twenty-year period.
