2003 BMW Z4 2.5L Petrol · AAA 170J

The 2003 BMW Z4 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, confirmed by the most recent test on 31 July 2025 at 69,692 miles where the tester recorded no defects. Every annual examination from 10 August 2021 through to the 2025 renewal returned a pass with no advisories logged, showing the vehicle has avoided any recurring mechanical or structural faults across a four-year span. Recorded mileage stands at 69,692 against an age of roughly 23 years, equating to about 3,030 miles per year. The odometer moved only 533 miles between the August 2022 test at 67,964 and the July 2023 test at 68,517, then crept up a further 642 miles to 69,159 by July 2024. Such low, evenly spread accumulation points to light use and likely extended standing periods rather than neglected high-mileage wear. The clean record gives no evidence of rapid accumulation or testing gaps. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers given the car's age and low-use profile, as prolonged standing can allow rubber components to perish and brake discs to corrode without MOT detection. Structural integrity around subframes and sills warrants close checking for hidden rust, since the Z4's age makes hidden corrosion plausible despite clean advisories. The absence of flagged exhaust emissions or tyre defects suggests previous owners kept basic consumables in order. Verify service history and lift the car to confirm underside condition before purchase, as the MOT alone cannot reveal intermittent faults or cosmetic掩盖 of structural issues.
