2011 BMW X1 2.0L Diesel · AB51 RPB

The 2011 BMW X1 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent DVSA test on 28 August 2025 at 71,353 miles returning a pass with no defects recorded. The three consecutive annual passes from August 2023 through August 2025, each with no advisories, indicate the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that avoids recurring mechanical or structural faults. Recorded mileage sits at 71,353 miles against an approximate 15-year lifespan, equating to roughly 4,757 miles per year and marking this as a low-use example. The test history shows sparse but consistent entries: a pass at 60,889 miles on 3 March 2022, a failed test with no defects logged on 30 May 2023 at 65,665 miles, then passes at 66,221 miles (August 2023), 69,304 miles (August 2024), and 71,353 miles (August 2025). The May 2023 failure with zero defects suggests an administrative or presentation issue rather than a mechanical fault, and the clean subsequent record implies no neglected consumable wear such as tyres or brake discs. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and subframe corrosion given the vehicle's age and the likelihood of prolonged standing periods that accelerate rubber perishing and structural rust. The absence of advisories across five years does not preclude hidden wear on binding calipers or exhaust emissions components that a static test may not fully expose. Given the low annual mileage and clean MOT trajectory, previous keepers appear to have prioritised basic statutory compliance, though the sparse history leaves drivetrain and steering component condition unverified between tests.
