2019 Mercedes-Benz C 2.0L Petrol · AC06 ALC

The most recent MOT inspection conducted in February 2026 resulted in a pass with no recorded defects. Looking at the longitudinal maintenance history, the vehicle demonstrates a very stable and positive trend. While an advisory was noted in February 2024 regarding rear tyre wear on the edges, the subsequent clean passes in 2025 and 2026 indicate that these consumables were addressed promptly. This suggests a proactive approach to vehicle upkeep, which is a reassuring indicator for a prospective buyer regarding the overall mechanical management of the car. With a recorded mileage of 49,270 miles over approximately seven years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 7,000 miles per annum. This usage profile is considered low-to-moderate for a Mercedes-Benz of this age, implying that the engine, gearbox, and primary drivetrain components have likely experienced less mechanical stress than a high-mileage equivalent. However, this level of usage necessitates a closer inspection of components that can degrade due to age and inactivity rather than just distance travelled, as the vehicle may have experienced periods of standing. Given the previous advisory for rear tyre wear on the edges, you should closely inspect the current condition of all four tyres during your physical inspection. Look for uneven tread wear, which could signal underlying issues with suspension bushes, control arms, or wheel alignment. Even if the tyres appear to have sufficient tread, check the sidewalls for any signs of perishing or cracking, as rubber compounds can degrade over a seven-year period regardless of mileage. During the test drive, listen for any rhythmic thumping or vibration that might suggest tyre deformation or incorrect balancing. Because the vehicle has not been driven extensively, you must also account for time-based degradation. Inspect the brake discs for heavy corrosion or pitting, and check for any signs of binding calipers which can occur if the vehicle has been stationary for extended periods. It is also advisable to verify the service history for evidence of time-sensitive maintenance, such as brake fluid flushes and coolant replacements, which are essential for maintaining system integrity. Finally, test the 12V battery's performance, as lower annual mileage can sometimes lead to reduced charging cycles and diminished battery health.
