2022 Rapido S80 Auto 2.2L Heavy oil · AD22 RAP

The most recent MOT test conducted on 3 August 2026 resulted in a clean pass with no recorded defects or advisories. Based on the available DVSA history, the maintenance trend for this vehicle appears stable and compliant. As the vehicle is relatively recent, the lack of recorded failures suggests that the structural integrity and essential safety components have met the required standards during the inspection process. The recorded mileage of 3,628 miles is exceptionally low for a vehicle that is approximately four years old, representing an annual average of roughly 907 miles. While this low usage implies minimal mechanical wear on the drivetrain, engine internals, and suspension components, it also suggests the vehicle may have spent extended periods stationary. From a mechanical perspective, vehicles used this infrequently often face different challenges than high-mileage cars, specifically regarding the degradation of consumables due to age and inactivity rather than physical friction. Given the clean MOT record and the low-mileage profile, your physical inspection should focus on time-related deterioration. Closely examine the tyres for signs of perishing or sidewall cracking, as rubber can degrade and lose elasticity even if the tread depth remains high. You should also inspect the brake discs for heavy surface corrosion and check for binding calipers, which can occur when the vehicle is not driven regularly enough to clear oxidation. During your test drive, listen for any clunks or knocks from the suspension bushes or dampers, which may have stiffened or seized from lack of regular movement. Finally, it is essential to verify the service history to ensure that maintenance has been conducted on a time-based rather than a mileage-based schedule. Fluids such as engine oil, brake fluid, and coolant degrade over time due to moisture absorption and chemical breakdown, regardless of how few miles the car has covered. Confirm that the service book contains stamps for annual or biennial intervals to ensure the engine and hydraulic systems have been properly protected. Additionally, check the health of the 12V battery, as infrequent driving is a primary cause of battery depletion and failure.
