2006 MINI 1.6L Petrol · AD56 HZV

The 2006 MINI presents as roadworthy following the most recent DVSA test on 6 March 2026 at 83,136 miles, where the tester recorded no defects and issued a pass. The maintenance trend is stable with no advisories or mechanical faults logged across the available history. A single failure on 5 September 2025 at 83,118 miles shows no defects recorded, indicating an administrative or non-mechanical rejection rather than a worn component. The odometer reflects low use for a twenty-year-old vehicle, totalling 83,136 miles or roughly 4,157 miles per year. The record shows gentle accumulation: 77,034 miles on 11 November 2023, rising to 81,093 by 2 September 2024, then 83,118 by September 2025 and 83,136 by March 2026. The gap between the November 2023 pass and the September 2024 pass spans ten months with only 4,059 miles added. Sparse, clean entries suggest the previous keeper used the car lightly and kept it to test standard. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the car's age and likely periods of standing. Long idle spells invite corrosion on structural members and seizing of calipers even when the MOT shows clear. The twin November 2023 entries, a fail followed by a pass on the same day at identical mileage, point to a paperwork or presentation issue rather than a repair, but confirm the vehicle changed test outcome without distance travelled. Check underneath for exhaust rust and inspect tyre sidewalls for age cracking despite adequate tread. Low mileage hides elastomer degradation. The clean record is reassuring, yet twenty years of age demands hands-on verification of steering joints and subframe condition before purchase.
