2022 Land Rover Defender X-Dynamic SE D Mhev A 3.0L Diesel · AD65 RPT

The vehicle presents a stable and sound roadworthiness status based on the available DVSA records. The most recent MOT test, conducted on 26 September 2025 at 12,203 miles, passed with zero defects and no advisories. This clean bill of health indicates the vehicle met all required safety and emissions standards at that time. Given the absence of any recorded faults, the maintenance trend remains unblemished, though the sparse testing history limits the ability to track long-term wear patterns. The mileage profile is notably low for a vehicle approaching four years of age, averaging roughly 3,051 miles per annum. The recorded mileage of 12,203 miles has remained static between the September 2025 test and the current reading, suggesting the vehicle has seen minimal use or prolonged periods of standing over the last ten months. Such low annual mileage can prevent typical consumable wear but raises questions about the condition of rubber components and the potential for moisture-related corrosion in brake discs and the exhaust system from prolonged idling or short trips. With no recurring mechanical or structural faults flagged in the official record, a pre-purchase inspection should focus on the implications of low-mileage, sporadic use. A buyer must physically inspect the condition of the tyre sidewalls for perishing and flat-spotting, as tread depth may remain legal while the rubber degrades from age and standing. Suspension bushes and drivetrain components require close scrutiny for deterioration that stems from lack of regular flexing rather than high mileage. The undercarriage and chassis should be checked for surface corrosion, a common issue when premium 4x4s endure extended stationary periods without the heat cycles needed to evaporate trapped moisture.
