2019 Audi A3 1.5L Petrol · AD68 AKN

The 2019 Audi A3 has maintained a clean MOT history with no defects recorded across all four tests, most recently passing on 2025-08-07 at 46,209 miles. This consistency suggests the vehicle has been subjected to either rigorous owner maintenance or professional servicing, as no advisories or minor faults have been logged. The most recent test, just over a year ago, confirms the car remains roadworthy under current DVSA standards, though the absence of any recorded issues does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in high-stress areas like suspension mounts, brake calipers, or subframe connections. Buyers should treat this as a baseline for further scrutiny rather than a guarantee of flawless condition. The mileage progression indicates moderate usage, averaging around 6,600 miles annually, which aligns with typical low-to-moderate mileage for a vehicle of this age. The longest gap between tests—15 months—occurred between the 2022 and 2023 MOTs, during which the odometer advanced by 7,277 miles. While this is not excessive, it raises a note of caution: the absence of any advisories in the 2022 test suggests either the vehicle was serviced privately before the MOT or that critical components (such as suspension bushes or brake pads) were replaced ahead of failure. The most recent test, just over a year old, means some consumables—tyres, brake pads, and wiper blades—may now be approaching their serviceable limits, especially if the car has been driven regularly since August 2025. Given the lack of MOT advisories, the primary focus for an in-person inspection should centre on components that are not routinely tested but degrade predictably with age and mileage. The suspension system, particularly the coil springs, bushes, and stabiliser links, warrants close examination for perished rubber or excessive play, as these are not flagged by the MOT but can compromise handling and alignment. Rear brake binding, a common issue in Audi models, should be checked for uneven wear or seized calipers, though the clean MOT record suggests this has not been a recurring problem. Corrosion at wheel arches, subframe, and rear sills is another silent risk—even with low mileage, salt ingress or poor undersealing can accelerate structural weakening. Finally, verify the condition of the exhaust system, as catalytic converter failures or leaks are not always detectable during a standard MOT. A pre-purchase diagnostic scan for fault codes would further clarify whether any underlying issues have been addressed.
