2008 Audi TT 2.0L Petrol · AE58 BZU

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent test conducted on 10 July 2023 at 96,671 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This suggests that the previous owners maintained a standard of upkeep that ensured the vehicle did not suffer from immediate mechanical or structural failures during the recorded inspection periods. The mileage pattern is notably low for an eighteen-year-old Audi TT, averaging approximately 5,371 miles per year. Between May 2018 and July 2023, the car covered only 13,211 miles, indicating very light use. There is a visible gap in the records between May 2019 and July 2021, where only 2,056 miles were recorded over a twenty-four-month period. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it can lead to degradation of rubber-based parts and brake components due to periods of inactivity. Despite the clean MOT record, an in-person inspection must focus on components susceptible to age-related decay rather than mileage-related wear. The buyer should specifically inspect the suspension bushes and control arms for cracking, as rubber perishes over time regardless of distance driven. Given the low usage, the brake discs should be checked for surface pitting or seized calipers if the vehicle has sat stationary frequently. Additionally, a thorough check of the underside sills and mounting points is essential to ensure the structural integrity of the chassis has not been compromised by corrosion.
