1971 Morris Minor 1000 1.0L Petrol · AEG 136J

The Morris Minor 1000 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 13 March 2026 at 73,090 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the prior examination on 14 January 2025 at 71,964 miles also passed clean. Two consecutive annual tests with zero advisories indicates the vehicle has been kept to a sound standard for a classic of this age. Recorded mileage sits at 73,090 against a 55 year life, an average of roughly 1,329 miles per year. The gap between the 2025 and 2026 tests shows only 1,126 miles added, consistent with light use and likely seasonal running rather than daily duty. The history is sparse, with just two clean entries supplied, so no wear trend or fault pattern can be drawn from the data itself. A buyer should still inspect structural integrity in person, given the 1971 build and risk of chassis and outrigger corrosion on cars that stand for long periods. Check suspension bushes, leaf springs, and brake hydraulics for age related degradation not always caught in a pass result. Confirm the exhaust and fuel system are free of perished hoses or rust, and verify tyres and wheel cylinders match the clean MOT record.
