2021 Land Rover Defender S D Mhev Auto 3.0L Diesel · AG09 AGE

The Land Rover Defender presents as roadworthy following its most recent test. On 13 August 2025 at 50,511 miles the vehicle passed with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable across the available history, with the only anomaly being a failed entry logged on the same date and mileage with no defects cited, immediately followed by a pass. This suggests an administrative or procedural rejection rather than a mechanical fault. Mileage accumulation is moderate for a five-year-old vehicle. The July 2024 test at 36,683 miles and the August 2025 test at 50,511 miles show 13,828 miles covered in just over twelve months, equating to roughly 10,100 miles per year overall. The record is sparse with only two test years represented and no advisories or defects listed, which limits insight into wear patterns but indicates no flagged neglect. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the Defender's off-road design and the limited test sample. The clean MOT history offers no evidence of corrosion or structural concern, yet absence of advisories on a low-test-count record does not confirm component condition. Verify the V5C and DVSA portal to clarify the 13 August 2025 fail-pass sequence and confirm no suppressed defects. Inspect tyre tread depth, wiper blades, and underbody for moisture-related corrosion before purchase, as these consumables fall outside MOT fail thresholds until severely worn.
