2014 Volkswagen Transporter 2.0L Diesel · AJ14 VDY

The Volkswagen Transporter presents as roadworthy following its most recent test on 18 November 2025 at 143,861 miles, which returned a pass with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable across the available history, with no advisories or mechanical faults flagged at any stage. Records show a clean trajectory once the two anomalous failure entries from 2023 and 2025 are accounted for. Mileage accumulation is broadly typical for a 2014 panel van, rising from 131,038 miles at the November 2023 test to 137,597 miles by November 2024 and 143,861 miles by November 2025. That equates to roughly 6,500 miles per year over the last two intervals, below the lifetime average of near 12,000 miles per annum, suggesting lighter recent use. The dataset is sparse, with only five entries, yet every pass and failure carries a zero-defect record. The two failure results dated 23 November 2023 at 131,038 miles and 17 November 2025 at 143,853 miles are anomalous, as both list no defects yet triggered a fail and immediate next-day pass at near-identical mileage. This pattern points to administrative or presentational errors at the testing station rather than genuine mechanical rejection. No corrosion, suspension bush wear, brake disc scoring, or exhaust emission breaches appear anywhere in the chain. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody condition given the vehicle's twelve years and salt-exposure risk, despite the absent advisories. Verify the front coil springs, rear trailing arm bushes, and brake caliper operation visually, since MOT silence does not confirm component life remaining. The clean record implies prior owners kept basic statutory testing current, though the unexplained fail entries warrant a check of the full DVSA test certificate images before purchase.
