2007 Volkswagen Sharan 2.0L Diesel · AJ57 HCD

The vehicle is currently road‑worthy, having passed its most recent MOT on 4 March 2025 at 117,063 mi with no recorded defects, and the four‑year MOT record shows a stable trend with no failures or advisories. Mileage has risen from 95,270 mi in January 2022 to 117,063 mi in March 2025, an increase of 21,793 mi over just over three years – roughly 7,200 mi per annum, slightly above the average 6,161 mi per year calculated for its 19‑year life. The pattern is consistent, with no large unexplained gaps, suggesting regular use rather than long periods of storage. Although the MOT data contains no mechanical faults, a prospective buyer should still examine wear items that are not captured by the test. Check tyre tread depth and uniformity, as excessive wear can develop between tests. Inspect the suspension bushes, coil springs and shock absorbers for any signs of leakage or play, and verify that the brake discs and pads are within service limits, particularly given the relatively high recent mileage. A visual survey for corrosion on the chassis, under‑tray and wheel arches will confirm that the structural integrity remains sound.
