2007 Volkswagen Passat 2.0L Diesel · AJ57 URL

The 2007 Volkswagen Passat presents a broadly stable roadworthiness picture, with the most recent test on 6 April 2023 at 209,708 miles returning a pass and no defects recorded. The maintenance trend shows no worsening signals across the supplied history, though the dataset is thin. A prior failure on 7 April 2022 at 194,182 miles carries no listed defects, which points to an administrative or non-mechanical rejection rather than a fault-driven outage. Mileage sat at 194,182 on 7 April 2022 and rose to 209,708 by 6 April 2023, an annual gain of roughly 15,526 miles against a lifetime average near 11,037. The car saw above-average use in that window yet the tester logged no advisories on tyres, brakes, suspension bushes, or corrosion. Records before 2022 are absent here, so long-term care patterns cannot be judged from this extract alone. Given the clean pass at 209,708 miles, a buyer should still commission an in-person check of structural integrity and underbody corrosion, as a nineteen-year-old Passat is prone to subframe and sill rust unseen in a bare MOT line. Inspect front coil springs and wishbone bushes for fatigue, and measure brake disc thickness and caliper operation despite no binding flagged. The repeated 2022 entries at identical mileage with one failure and one pass suggest the owner cleared a paperwork or presentation issue the same day. That implies functional mechanical condition was acceptable, but verify exhaust emissions and DPF function on the 1.9 or 2.0 TDI variants before purchase.
