2011 Ford Focus 1.6L Petrol · AJ60 DLE

The 2011 Ford Focus presents a currently roadworthy status following a pass on 20 January 2026 at 86,543 miles, with the maintenance trend appearing stable across the last three years of testing. The most recent pass came on the same day as a failure logged at identical mileage with no defects recorded, mirroring an identical pattern from 31 January 2025 where a failure at 84,905 miles was followed by a pass on 3 February 2025 with no defects noted. This repeated same-day fail-then-pass with zero recorded faults suggests administrative rejections rather than mechanical defects, and no advisories or failures for wear items appear anywhere in the supplied record. The odometer shows 86,543 miles against a 15-year lifespan, equating to roughly 5,770 miles per year and placing this Focus well below typical class usage. Mileage moved from 81,423 at the 6 February 2024 test to 84,905 by 31 January 2025, then to 86,543 by 20 January 2026, giving annual increments of around 3,500 and 1,600 miles. Such low, declining annual accumulation implies light use or prolonged standing periods, though the DVSA data contains no gaps longer than twelve months between tests. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and subframe corrosion given the vehicle's age and the likelihood of moisture ingress during low-mileage dormancy. The absence of brake, exhaust, or structural advisories in the record offers reassurance, but testers recorded no measurements for disc wear or emissions detail across these entries. Given the clean defect history and low yearly coverage, previous owners appear to have maintained statutory testing discipline even if the twin 2025 and 2026 fail logs point to clerical rather than mechanical issues. Verify the bodywork and underseal condition before purchase, as MOT pass sheets with no advisories do not capture incipient rust on sills or suspension mounts.
