2022 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD Electricity · AJ72 BBF

The vehicle’s most recent MOT, conducted on 2025-12-12 at 47,628 miles, recorded no defects, indicating a stable roadworthiness status. However, the absence of subsequent tests, with the current date being 2026-07-18, suggests a gap of over seven months since the last assessment. This prolonged interval raises concerns about potential undetected issues, particularly given the vehicle’s age and mileage. No recurring faults or structural risks were flagged in the available records, but the lack of updated data limits confidence in its ongoing mechanical integrity. The recorded mileage of 47,628 miles over four years equates to an average of 11,907 miles annually, aligning with typical usage patterns. The MOT history provides no evidence of rapid mileage accumulation or extended periods of inactivity, which might otherwise indicate neglect. However, the sparse data—limited to a single test—fails to establish a comprehensive maintenance trend. This absence of historical context means the vehicle’s service record remains incomplete, necessitating further verification of its upkeep. A buyer should prioritize inspecting the vehicle’s battery health, suspension components, and brake system, as these are critical for electric vehicles. While no defects were noted in the MOT, the age of the car and the absence of recent tests warrant a detailed examination of corrosion, drivetrain wear, and electronic systems. Additionally, verifying the validity of the MOT certificate and ensuring no outstanding advisories exist is essential, as the last test predates the current date by over seven months.
