2017 BMW 520 2.0L Diesel · AJW 62T

The 2017 BMW 520 presents a stable and wholly satisfactory roadworthiness trend. The most recent test on 15 July 2025 at 87,187 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken four-year sequence of clean MOT outcomes. The maintenance history shows no advisories, no failures, and no escalating mechanical concerns across the examined period. Annual mileage sits at roughly 9,687 miles, a typical figure for a nine-year-old executive saloon. The records chart steady use: 67,650 miles on 22 April 2022, 69,212 on 4 May 2023, 77,754 on 11 June 2024, and 87,187 by July 2025. The largest twelve-month gain was just over 10,400 miles between mid-2023 and mid-2024. No standing periods or abrupt accumulation appear in the data, and the sparse but clean record implies the previous keeper kept basic consumable and structural upkeep current. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection despite the fault-free history. The MOT captures only test-day condition, so suspension bushes, coil springs, brake disc thickness, and underbody corrosion warrant hands-on checks. The DVSA sheet shows no recurring faults to target, yet BMW rear subframe corrosion and worn front control arm bushes are known age-related items on this platform. Given the clean test lineage and ordinary mileage, the vehicle reads as a low-risk purchase from a documentation standpoint. Verify service history matches the odometer, and confirm tyres, wipers, and brake pads are within tolerance ahead of ownership transfer.
