2008 Toyota Yaris 1.0L Petrol · AO58 BXW

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a clean record following a single minor failure. The most recent test on 26 November 2025 at 63,061 miles resulted in no defects recorded, indicating that the car currently meets all statutory requirements. This follows a sequence of clean passes in late 2024 and 2023, suggesting that the mechanical condition has remained consistent without a trend of degradation. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for an 18-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,500 miles per year. The data shows periods of very low usage, such as the mere 195-mile gap driven between May 2023 and December 2023. The 7,813-mile interval between December 2024 and November 2025 represents a more recent increase in usage. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine components, the long intervals between tests can sometimes lead to rubber- components degrading or internal corrosion on brake surfaces. Despite the lack of recorded faults in the recent passes, a buyer must physically inspect for issues common to low-mileage aging. The failure on 3 May 2023 at 53,364 miles suggests a specific issue was rectified immediately, but the buyer should still check the structural integrity of the chassis and sills for corrosion, which often affects vehicles of this era regardless of distance driven. Inspect the suspension bushes for cracks or perished rubber and check the brake calipers for signs of binding or pitting that can occur when vehicles sit stationary for long periods.
