1981 Foden SCV29A Diesel · AYA 267X

The 1981 Foden SCV29A presents a remarkably stable roadworthiness profile. The most recent inspection conducted on 17 March 2026 resulted in a clean pass with no recorded defects, continuing a streak of defectless results spanning the last five years. This consistency suggests that the vehicle is maintained to a high standard and that the critical mechanical and structural components are currently operating within acceptable parameters for a vintage commercial vehicle. Data regarding mileage accumulation is entirely absent from the record, preventing any assessment of usage patterns or engine wear relative to its age. However, the testing interval remains consistent, with tests performed annually between February and March from 2022 through 2026. This regularity indicates the vehicle is likely kept in protected storage or used as a low-frequency enthusiast item rather than a high-frequency working tool. Given the lack of recorded advisories in the digital history, a physical inspection must focus on the structural integrity of the chassis and frame members. Heavy vehicles of this era are particularly susceptible to deep-seated corrosion in hidden boxwork areas that may not be fully visible during a standard MOT test. A buyer should specifically inspect the braking system for binding calipers or perished rubber hoses and examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of fatigue or hairline cracking that the tester has not yet flagged.
