The vehicle presents a stable level of roadworthiness based on the available MOT history. The most recent test conducted on 15 May 2025 at 11,315 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a clean result from 20 February 2024, indicating that the mechanical and safety components have remained within tolerance parameters during consecutive testing. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 41-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 276 miles per year. Between the February 2024 and May 2025 tests, the vehicle covered only 49 miles. This extremely low usage suggests the bike is used only for occasional trips or remains stationary for long periods. While this limits the mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it often introduces risks related to age and degradation that a standard MOT may not fully capture. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on areas typically associated with low-mileage storage which the MOT record cannot highlight. Check for structural corrosion on the frame, swingarm, and engine mounting points where moisture can settle over time when the vehicle sits idle. Inspect the braking system for perished rubber seals, seized brake calipers, or perished brake hoses that suffer from age rather than use. Additionally, examine the tyres for sidewall cracking and flat spotting, as the tread depth is irrelevant if the rubber compound has hardened over four decades.
