2006 Smart (mcc) Forfour 1.3L Petrol · BJ06 UTH

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistent history of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent inspection conducted on 27 November 2024 at 161,005 miles returned no recorded defects or advisories. This suggests that the previous owner has maintained the mechanical and safety components to a standard that meets the minimum legal requirements without any recurring failures or escalating degradation visible in the testing data. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for a twenty-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,000 miles per annum. Between November 2020 and November 2024, the car covered 51,034 miles, representing a steady usage pattern without significant periods of neglect or sudden spikes in heavy driving. The interval between the 2023 test at 144,960 miles and the 2024 test shows 16,045 miles, indicating the vehicle remains driven regularly which helps prevent the drying of seals and brake components often associated with long periods of inactivity. Despite the clean MOT record, a buyer must focus their physical inspection on common wear points for this specific model that do not always trigger a test failure. The high mileage of 161,005 miles places significant stress on the suspension bushes and coil springs, which should be checked for perished rubber or fractures. Given the age of the vehicle, a thorough examination of the chassis for structural corrosion is essential, as the MOT tester only identifies rust that has already compromised structural integrity.
