2016 Skoda Citigo 1.0L Petrol · BK16 ADX

The 2016 Skoda Citigo demonstrates stable roadworthiness, with all six MOT tests from 2022 to 2025 recording no defects. The most recent November 2025 test at 41,497 miles confirmed compliance, reinforcing a consistent maintenance pattern. No recurring issues were flagged across the period, suggesting the vehicle has been well-maintained. The absence of advisories or failures indicates the previous owner prioritized basic upkeep, though low mileage and irregular test intervals warrant closer scrutiny of static-related components. The vehicle’s mileage of 41,497 miles over 10 years equates to approximately 4,150 miles annually, significantly below the UK average. This suggests either infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which can accelerate wear on rubber components, electrical systems, and corrosion-prone areas. Notably, the 2023-2025 tests span 6,082 miles, while the 2022-2023 interval covered 3,835 miles, indicating uneven usage. Gaps between tests exceeded 12 months in 2022-2023, which may have allowed minor issues to persist undetected. A buyer should inspect suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers for dry rot or binding, as low mileage can mask wear in these areas. Corrosion risks are heightened by potential storage conditions, particularly in wheel arches and underbody panels. While the MOT history shows no structural faults, the lack of detailed advisories limits insight into gradual deterioration. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on these components, alongside checking tyre tread and brake disc condition, to confirm the vehicle’s mechanical integrity beyond recorded tests.
