2005 Ford Fiesta 1.4L Petrol · BL55 HJJ

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a consistently stable maintenance trend over the last five years. The most recent inspection on 23 May 2025 at 37,500 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This clean sheet suggests that the vehicle has been maintained to a high standard and that the mechanical and structural components are currently operating within acceptable tolerance parameters despite the age of the car. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 21-year-old Ford, averaging approximately 1,800 miles per year. Between July 2021 and May 2025, the car covered only 2,411 miles, indicating periods of very infrequent use or long-term storage. While this low mileage typically implies less wear on the drivetrain, engine internals, and suspension, it introduces risks associated with age degradation of rubber components. The data shows a consistent, slow accumulation of mileage without any sudden spikes that suggest odometer tampering or heavy use. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on components susceptible to age rather than high-mileage wear. Pay close attention to the tyre sidewalls for cracking and the condition of the suspension bushes, which can perish from sitting stationary. Given the low usage, check the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting and test the calipers to ensure they have not seized due to disuse. Additionally, inspect the chassis and sills for structural rust, as oxidative corrosion remains the primary threat for a vehicle of this era regardless of how few miles it has clocked.
