2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2.9L Diesel · BO65 GON

The vehicle presents a clean roadworthiness status based on the last available data, though the record is critically outdated. The MOT conducted on 20 December 2021 at 27,671 miles resulted in a pass with zero defects or advisories. Because no tests have been recorded for over four years, there is no evidence to confirm the current mechanical state or the stability of its maintenance. The trend is effectively stagnant due to the lack of regular inspections. The recorded mileage is exceptionally low for a nine-year-old S-Class, averaging approximately 3,000 miles per year. This pattern suggests the vehicle was either used very sparingly for short journeys or remained stationary for significant periods of time. While low mileage typically implies less wear on the engine drivetrain and suspension components, long-term stationary use often leads to the degradation of rubber elements, perished seals, and fluid contamination. The gap in MOT testing since late 2021 indicates the car has not been legally roadworthy in the UK since its last recorded inspection. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection to address risks associated with low-mileage storage. Priority attention should be given to the brake discs and calipers, which frequently develop surface corrosion or seize when not, regularly used. The suspension bushes and tyre sidewalls require checking for cracking or dry rot, as age affects these materials regardless of mileage. Given the age of the vehicle, the engine fluids and battery should be inspected to ensure moisture ingress has not occurred during the long intervals of inactivity.
