2012 MINI 1.6L Petrol · BS06 BYS

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a clear improving maintenance trend over the last four years. The most recent test on 30 June 2025 at 70,511 miles returned a clean pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates that the issues identified in earlier years have been addressed and that the car currently operates in a high state of mechanical compliance according to DVSA standards. The mileage pattern is consistently low for a fourteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 5,000 miles per annum. The record shows steady usage between annual tests, moving from 53,328 miles in June 2022 to 65,288 miles in June 2024, and finally reaching 70,511 miles by mid-2025. This low-intensity usage suggests that the drivetrain has not been subjected to high-mileage stress, though it often leads to age-related degradation of rubber components and fluids rather than mechanical wear. The July 2021 test at 47,564 miles highlighted a period of neglected upkeep, specifically flagging a defective offside windscreen wiper, perishing rear tyres, and an illuminated brake fluid warning lamp. While these faults were resolved in subsequent clean tests, a buyer should still inspect the current tyres for sidewall cracking, as the low mileage often means rubber dries out over time. Given the vehicle's age, a physical inspection of the suspension bushes and the integrity of the brake lines is essential to ensure that the low usage has not resulted in hidden corrosion or seized components.
