2006 Porsche Boxster 2.7L Petrol · BX06 PFZ

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness with a remarkably stable and clean maintenance trend. The most recent test conducted on 20 November 2025 at 58,521 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded, mirroring the previous four years of clean results. This consistency suggests that the vehicle has remained well-maintained and has avoided the mechanical or structural failures typically seen in cars of this age. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a twenty-year-old Porsche, averaging approximately 2,900 miles per year. Between November 2021 and November 2025, the car covered 11,583 miles, indicating consistent but low-intensity usage. There is a slight gap between the August 2021 and December 2022 tests, where the vehicle covered only 5,390 miles over sixteen months. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and braking surfaces, it often introduces hidden risks related to rubber degradation and fluid breakdown during long periods of inactivity. Despite the flawless MOT history, a physical inspection must focus on components susceptible to age-related decay rather than mileage-based wear. Buyers should check for perished or cracked rubber components, including suspension bushes, engine mounts, and tyre sidewalls which can dry out from low use. The brake system should be examined for surface corrosion or pitting on the discs and calipers, as the static MOT test does not always detect internal seal failure or seized pistons that occur when a car is not driven frequently at high speeds.
