2020 Vauxhall Corsa E Elite NAV Electric · C5 MLF

Four MOT tests are recorded between 2023 and 2026, all returning pass results with no failures ever recorded against this vehicle. The defining feature of the mechanical record is a single test in 2025 that issued five advisories, all clustered around the braking system and a nearside front tyre, while the surrounding tests in 2023, 2024 and most recently on 9 June 2026 returned completely clean sheets with no defects noted. That single advisory-laden pass breaks an otherwise tidy run of roadworthiness, and a buyer should treat it as a meaningful data point rather than a transient blip, because all four brake discs being flagged simultaneously suggests the friction material and rotor surfaces were nearing the end of their combined service life together rather than one isolated component wearing prematurely. Mileage accumulation on this 2020 Corsa is notably restrained for its age, with 14,622 recorded miles spread across roughly six years, equating to an annual average of around 2,437 miles. There are no significant gaps in the MOT testing record, which implies the vehicle has been kept in use continuously rather than laid up for extended periods, and this continuity is reassuring given the low odometer reading. However, such modest annual mileage brings its own mechanical considerations: brake discs and pads can suffer from light corrosion pitting through infrequent use rather than wear, which would be consistent with the type of advisories issued in 2025 rather than any heavy braking duty. Equally, low-mileage vehicles can develop dry or perished rubber components, ageing coolant hoses, and degraded tyre sidewalls from prolonged static exposure, even when tread depth remains legal. The fact that only one tyre was flagged as being close to the legal limit suggests uneven age-related degradation rather than uniform wear from driving, which is worth bearing in mind. Turning to the specific braking advisories, the 2025 record noted that all four discs were worn, pitted or scored, though not considered seriously weakened at the time of test. A prospective buyer should physically inspect the visible edge of each disc through the wheel spokes and look for a pronounced lip, deep circumferential scoring, or a bluish heat-tinted surface that would suggest the discs have run hot. On a test drive, listen for any scraping or metallic grinding when braking, feel for vibration or pulsation through the brake pedal under firm pressure, and watch for the vehicle pulling to one side under deceleration, which would indicate a binding or seized caliper. Given that all four discs were flagged simultaneously, it is reasonable to budget for a full axle set of replacement discs and pads within the near term, as the pitting recorded last year will almost certainly have progressed by now. The nearside front tyre advisory from the same test is a separate concern worth addressing directly with the seller, as it indicates the inner or outer edge was worn close to the legal 1.6 mm limit. On inspection, check the tread depth across the full width of all four tyres with a proper gauge rather than relying on visual estimation, and look for uneven shoulder wear, feathering along the tread blocks, or any bulges or cracking in the sidewalls that would point to alignment or suspension geometry issues. During the test drive, pay attention to steering pull to one side, vague or wandering straight-line stability, and any knocking or clonking transmitted through the front end when traversing speed bumps or potholes, as worn wishbone bushes, anti-roll bar drop links, or track rod ends can all cause the kind of inner-edge tyre wear that was noted. Beyond the flagged items, the clean 2026 test outcome suggests no new defects have emerged since, but a thorough inspection of the underbody, suspension linkages and brake hydraulics remains advisable given the 2025 cluster of disc advisories.
