1986 Honda CG125 0.1L Petrol · C942 LNH

The roadworthiness status of this Honda CG125 is excellent, demonstrating a perfectly stable maintenance trend defined by four consecutive clean passes. In the most recent test conducted on 10 June 2025 at an unspecified mileage, the machine passed with zero defects or advisories recorded. This spotless inspection mirrors the outcomes from 12 June 2024, 12 June 2023, and 7 June 2022, where the examiner noted no mechanical faults whatsoever. Such a flawless run through multiple annual inspections indicates that previous keepers maintained the motorcycle to a high standard, avoiding the accumulation of neglected wear items. Accumulating approximately 37,450 miles across its forty-year lifespan results in an exceptionally low average of roughly 936 miles per year. The MOT data shows a remarkably consistent testing cadence every June, yet the sparse digital record restricts historical visibility strictly to the past four years. Because the annual mileage accumulation is so minimal, the machine likely experienced prolonged periods of storage or very light recreational use. This low-mileage profile preserves engine components but introduces specific risks associated with inactivity, particularly on a vintage machine of this era. Physical inspection should focus heavily on areas vulnerable to degradation during storage rather than recurring test failures, since none exist on record. Check the fuel system, carburetor jets, and rubber intake boots for varnish accumulation or perishing caused by stale petrol. Inspect the wheel rims, chrome brightwork, and frame members for surface corrosion, and examine the tyres for dry rot despite adequate tread depth. Finally, verify the operation of the cable-operated drum brakes, steering head bearings, and chain drive to ensure they move freely without stiffness from old grease.
