2016 BMW 116 1.5L Diesel · CA65 TEJ

The vehicle presents a highly stable maintenance trend, demonstrating consistent roadworthiness across its recent history. The most recent MOT test on 29 January 2026 at 82,991 miles passed with zero defects recorded. This flawless outcome mirrors the previous four consecutive annual tests, indicating an entirely absent pattern of mechanical failure. The absence of advisories or failures suggests the previous owner maintained the car to a high standard, addressing consumable items and mechanical wear proactively before they escalated into testable defects. The mileage accumulation aligns perfectly with the vehicle's age, reflecting typical usage rather than prolonged standing or excessive wear. Between the January 2025 test at 76,752 miles and the January 2026 test at 82,991 miles, the car covered 6,239 miles over twelve months. Earlier intervals show a similar steady rate of accumulation, such as the 7,059 miles covered between January 2024 and January 2025. There are no notable gaps or sudden spikes in the odometer readings that would indicate a dormant period or unusually high mileage use. Given the MOT record contains no recurring faults or structural advisories, a buyer's physical inspection should focus on standard age-related wear rather than chasing specific historical defects. Examine the condition of the suspension bushes and coil springs for deterioration typical of a decade-old vehicle. Check the brake discs and calipers for uneven wear or binding, even though no braking defects appeared on paper. Inspect the inner wings, sills, and subframes for corrosion, as structural rust can develop silently between tests. Verify the condition of the tyres and exhaust system, ensuring the relatively low mileage has not led to perishing or cracking from standing still.
