2016 Ducati M 1.2L Petrol · CC16 NYC

The vehicle has maintained a consistently clean MOT history across all four tests, with the most recent pass dated just under a year ago on 9 July 2025. No defects were recorded in any of the tests, indicating that the tester did not identify any major mechanical or structural failings during those inspections. The lack of advisories or failings suggests that, at the time of testing, the vehicle’s suspension components—including bushes, coil springs, and steering linkages—remained intact, the braking system functioned without binding calipers or excessive corrosion, and the exhaust emissions system operated within legal limits. The structural integrity of the chassis and bodywork also appears to have been free from significant corrosion or damage during these evaluations. The recorded mileage of 7,273 miles at the time of the latest MOT is unusually low for a vehicle of this age, averaging just 727 miles per year over the past decade. This pattern suggests either very light usage or prolonged periods of storage, which could impact certain components such as tyres, battery health, and fluid degradation. Notably, there is a gap of over a year between the 2022 and 2023 tests, during which the mileage only increased by 251 miles, reinforcing the likelihood of extended inactivity. While low mileage generally reduces wear on high-stress parts like brakes and suspension, it may also mean that fluids such as brake fluid, coolant, and lubricants have not been regularly refreshed, potentially leading to hidden degradation. Given the clean MOT record, a buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of the tyres, particularly for uneven wear or signs of prolonged underinflation, which could indicate past neglect. The battery, given the low mileage, should be tested for capacity and corrosion at the terminals, as extended periods of inactivity can diminish its performance. The brakes—though not flagged in MOTs—should be checked for excessive pad wear, uneven disc thickness, and the condition of hydraulic lines, especially if the vehicle has spent time unused. Finally, a thorough examination of suspension bushes, steering dampers, and exhaust mounting points is warranted, as these components can degrade even with minimal movement. The absence of MOT failings does not preclude gradual wear, and a pre-purchase inspection will confirm whether maintenance has been consistently applied to non-MOT-tested areas.
