2009 Honda Civic 2.0L Petrol · CE09 MXX

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a consistently clean MOT history over the last several years. The most recent test conducted in March 2026 at 166,588 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the previous owners have likely proactively addressed mechanical issues before they reached a failing threshold, avoiding the recurring structural faults often seen on vehicles of this age. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent with typical usage for a seventeen-year-old averaging, 10,000 miles per annum. Between January 2022 and March 2026, the car covered 32,691 miles, showing a steady usage pattern without long periods of neglect or sudden high-stress bursts. The gap between the January 2022 and December 2022 tests shows a shorter interval, but the subsequent annual tests at roughly eight-mile intervals suggest the vehicle remains in active use regularly, which helps prevent seal degradation and corrosion of brake lines and suspension components. Despite the clean digital history, a buyer should still focus their physical inspection on age-related components that MOT tests do not always catch comprehensively. At over 166,000 miles, the rubber bushings in the suspension and the engine mounts may show signs of cracking or tearing. You should also inspect the chassis for structural corrosion, particularly along the sills and rear wheel arches, as these are common failure points for this generation of Honda Civic. Given the lack of previously recorded advisories for brake wear or exhaust leaks, the vehicle appears well-maintained, but a manual check of the brake discs and fluid condition remains necessary to ensure no hidden pitting has occurred.
