2002 Honda CBR900RR 1.0L Petrol · CK02 XAV

The vehicle has a clean MOT record, passing each test without recorded defects, which suggests a stable maintenance pattern up to the last inspection. The most recent MOT on 20 April 2024 at 20 729 miles showed no issues, yet that test is now more than three years old relative to 28 July 2026, leaving the bike un‑MOT’d and the absence of a recent inspection a notable risk factor. Mileage progression reflects low annual usage: between 2 November 2021 (18 739 miles) and 11 February 2023 (19 138 miles) only 399 miles were added over roughly 15 months, and the increase to 20 April 2024 (20 729 miles) added 1 591 miles in about 18 months. The average is close to 864 miles per year, indicating light use or extended storage periods. The record becomes sparse after April 2024, offering little insight into recent condition. With no recurring faults logged, a buyer should inspect the components most affected by age and storage. Examine suspension bushes and coil springs for cracking or hardening, check brake calipers for binding and discs for uneven wear, and assess the exhaust for corrosion or emission leaks. Verify chain tension, lubrication, and wear, test battery capacity, and look for rust or structural corrosion on the frame and swingarm. Also confirm that any standing period has not caused fuel stagnation and that tyres (if fitted) retain adequate tread. These checks will reveal any latent deterioration not captured by the MOT history.
