2004 Citroen C3 1.4L Diesel · CK54 AHY

The 2004 Citroen C3’s most recent MOT on 2023-05-16 at 94,516 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating a stable maintenance trend. However, the absence of recorded issues in this test contrasts with earlier entries where the same mileage and date showed both pass and fail outcomes, raising questions about data consistency. No structural or mechanical failures were noted in the latest assessment, suggesting the vehicle has been well-maintained in the short term. The vehicle’s mileage of 94,516 miles over 22 years equates to an average of 4,296 miles annually, significantly lower than typical usage. This suggests either infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which can accelerate wear on components like rubber seals, suspension bushes, and brake discs. The MOT history shows no major gaps in testing, with annual checks between 2021 and 2023, but the repeated same-date failures at identical mileages (e.g., 2022-05-06) imply potential record-keeping errors or unresolved issues that were later resolved. A buyer should inspect the suspension for worn bushes or coil springs, as low mileage can mask age-related fatigue. Brake systems, particularly rear calipers and discs, warrant scrutiny due to the vehicle’s age, even if recent tests showed no defects. Corrosion in body panels or undercarriage components is also a risk given the low usage pattern. While the latest MOT confirms roadworthiness, the inconsistent historical data underscores the need for a professional mechanical inspection to verify the vehicle’sTrue condition.
