2012 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0L Diesel · CK62 ACX

The vehicle is currently roadworthy based on its most recent MOT test on 2024-07-25 at 105,652 miles, which recorded a pass with no defects. However, the absence of a valid MOT as of 2026-07-21 raises immediate concerns, as the car has not been tested for over two years. The 2024 record shows two entries on the same day—one pass and one fail—though neither listed defects, suggesting potential administrative errors or unrecorded issues. The maintenance trend lacks clarity, as no recurring faults or structural risks are documented in the history. The mileage of 105,652 miles aligns with the vehicle’s 14-year lifespan, averaging 7,547 miles annually, which is typical for its age. The MOT records show steady mileage progression: 90,498 miles (2022-08-26), 97,885 miles (2023-08-10), and 105,652 miles (2024-07-25). No significant gaps or rapid accumulation are evident, though the lack of data between 2023 and 2024 tests—over a year—limits insight into intermediate maintenance. The absence of advisories or failures in earlier tests implies no critical issues were flagged, but this does not confirm long-term reliability. A buyer should prioritise a physical inspection of the suspension components, particularly bushes and coil springs, as these often degrade over time without immediate MOT failures. Brake systems, including calipers and discs, should be checked for wear, as the vehicle’s age and mileage suggest potential corrosion or uneven pad wear. Structural integrity, including rust on the chassis or body, should also be assessed, as undetected corrosion can compromise safety. While the MOT history shows no overt defects, the lack of recent testing necessitates a thorough pre-purchase evaluation.
