2012 Vauxhall Zafira 1.7L Diesel · CK62 AEE

The Vauxhall Zafira shows a stable mechanical history with the most recent examination on 7 August 2023 at 108,765 miles producing a pass and a simultaneous fail entry, both declaring no defects. This duplicated outcome on the same day and mileage indicates an administrative anomaly rather than a recorded mechanical fault. Prior tests from August 2020 through August 2022 returned clean passes with zero advisories, confirming the maintenance trend has neither worsened nor revealed recurring defects. Mileage advanced from 86,770 in the August 2020 test to 91,752 by August 2021, then to 100,118 in August 2022 and 108,765 by August 2023. That equates to roughly five thousand miles in the first interval and eight and a half thousand in the later two, a modest year-on-year rise but still below the fourteen-year average of 7,769 miles per annum. The DVSA ledger holds no tests after summer 2023, so with today's date being July 2026 the vehicle has likely stood unused for nearly three years, a pattern that often masks unseen deterioration. Previous owners cleared each annual test without flagged tyre wear, wiper blades, or suspension issues, implying routine pre-MOT care rather than neglected consumables. The absence of advisories does not exempt the buyer from physical checks. The tester never noted corrosion or brake defects, yet long-term storage invites rust on structural members and seizing of calipers. Inspect the subframe, sill sections, suspension bushes and coil springs for corrosion or fatigue. Verify brake discs and pads for binding after inactivity. Confirm exhaust emissions and fluid condition before road use. The clean record supports a sound baseline, but the dormancy since the 2023 test demands hands-on assessment of mechanical and structural integrity.
